Its real advantage is atmosphere for the after-hours part of a business trip:

Getting Around Without a Rental

The free Town Center Trolley runs a 4.1-mile loop connecting the Mall, Market Street, the Waterway, the Pavilion, and Hughes Landing — Mon–Thu 11 a.m.–9 p.m., Fri–Sat 10 a.m.–10 p.m., Sun noon–7 p.m., with live tracking. For a conference attendee staying on the Waterway, it covers most of the working day. (The Sunday hours changed in 2024; older listings still show 11 a.m.–6 p.m.)

Two caveats: it stops running in the evening (so it isn't a ride back from a late dinner or concert), and you'll want a car or rideshare for anything outside Town Center.
