The Goose's Acre Bistro & Irish Pub is an authentic Irish pub on The Woodlands Waterway at Waterway Square. Its bar and original fixtures were shipped across the Atlantic from Midleton, County Cork, Ireland — where the original pub opened in 1886 — after founders Brian Young and Colm O'Neill purchased its contents to preserve its history when the building was slated for redevelopment in 2005. The result is a genuinely characterful pub with hardwood bars, old-world charm, and a two-story patio overlooking the water.
Beyond the pub setting, it's a versatile night-out spot: regular live music (often on the upstairs patio), plus karaoke, trivia, bingo, chef dinners, and even a Monday running club. The kitchen serves traditional-yet-inventive pub fare — fish and chips, burgers, Irish nachos, corned beef, and prime rib — and the happy hour is one of the most generous on the Waterway. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
